If the author was aiming for some version of an Indian Godfather this book misses by a mile. It starts promisingly enough with engaging characters and a series of mysteries that engage the reader's curiosity. But for a thriller there's very little action in the first half of the book. And the second half is a huge disappoinment: there's plenty of action, but it's driven by completely implausible character development and a plot that gets more and more crazy, unbelievable and confusing. I understand this is going to be made into a TV drama. Probably best to watch that and give the book a miss.
