Reviews
I could compare this book to the "A brief history of time". It reflects the evolution of human thoughts from ancient Greeks to our days in an understandable and entertaining manner. The personal comments of the author himself are no less valuable on its own. The story itself feels a bit irrelevant in the start, but later it merges with the philosophical discussion and helps to grasp ideas better. Probably its the best book I have ever read.

Jakop is a lonely man. Divorced from his wife, with no friends apart from his constant companion Pelle, he spends his life attending the funerals of people he doesn't know, obscuring his identity in a web of improbable lies. As his addiction to storytelling spirals out of control, he is forced to reconcile his love of language and stories with the ever more urgent need for human connection.
